EXAMINATION AND PROMOTION

A student absent from any of the examinations without valid reason and without prior permission will not be considered for promotion to the next higher class. Even if absent with prior permission, no re-examination will be conducted. Students who represent the school for some competition or programme with the permission of the Principal may be exempted. Minimum marks for promotion to the next class will be 33% in each subject.

  1. General Promotion Rules
  • Students passing in all the subjects securing minimum 33% marks in each subject shall be promoted to the next higher class. Proficiency certificates will not be awarded to the students who miss an Examination or a part of any examination.
  • Students failing to obtain pass percentage for promotion in one subject will be promoted conditionally with an undertaking. However, students failing in two or more subjects will be detained in the same class.
  • Notwithstanding the above, the Principal in consultation with the teachers may relax the provisions given above.
  • A student found indulging in malpractice in any of the examinations would be awarded zero in the concerned subject.
  • A student declared failed in the same class in two consecutive academic years, will be asked to withdraw from the school without any written requisition from the parent. School Leaving Certificate will be issued to such a candidate.
  • Gross poor academic performance beyond school redressal policy may result in termination of admission.

*        School management reserves all the rights to change any condition or rules laid down for withdrawal or termination or promotion.

  1. Exemption from appearing in any of the examinations may be granted only on medical ground, provided medical certificate is submitted within a week of the commencement of the examination. But in such cases, students will have to appear at least in one examination and secure 33% marks in each subject.
  2. A student of class X and XII will not be sent up if he/she does not appear in the Pre-Board examination or if he/she does not have the requisite attendance.
  3. Examination Marking Criterion

          For Pre-Primary learners will not have any pen and paper examinations but will be evaluated based on their day to day learning experiences and interactions with the surrounding and the objects around them

  • For Std : I to IV
  1. There will be provision of four Unit Tests.
  2. The Unit Tests will be of 25 marks, out of which written test will be of 20 marks where as 5 marks will be for testing other skills which will be carried out through different activities
  • For Std V to VIII

            As CBSE has given freedom to decide the exam policy for classes VI to VIII, 10%, 20% & 30% syllabus of the First Term is being covered in the Annual Examination of Classes VI, VII & VIII, respectively to prepare students for the future board exams.
